Welcome to our spring newsletter for 2020! For the BRS team, spring brings a newfound optimism within our industry and our capability to deliver our client’s projects with improved systems, whilst being able to work flexibly and remotely with a highly engaged team. We are experiencing an increase in the number of projects coming through our door, four of which are featured in this newsletter. This includes the provision of our town planning services for social housing projects for the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, the provision of our traffic engineering services for two new Surf Lifesaving Clubs for the Northern Beaches Council, the provision of our subdivision certification services for the Bringelly Road Business Hub for CIProperty, and the provision of our road infrastructure design services for Dungog Shire Council. To meet the demand of our increased workload, we are excited to announce and welcome aboard some new starters and welcome back some teammates that have worked with us previously. Joel Smith has rejoined our team and increases our capability to provide services for solar and wind renewable energy projects, Lukas Van Dijk increases our capacity to provide civil engineering design and certification services in South East Queensland and Northern NSW, Nicholas Axiak strengthens the provision of our TfNSW (formerly RMS) project verification services across NSW, and Gemma Ralph strengthens our administration team. We are proud to bring you another edition of our women in the property and infrastructure industry blog series, in which we give you a little more insight into the talented females who form an integral part of our team. In this edition, we sat down with our Planning Manager Lisa Wrightson to discuss her role and some of the highlights of working at BRS. To our clients and team, thank you for all your support throughout the last 6 months or so, when we were all battling the impacts of COVID-19 on our wider community. Let’s hope that the worst is behind us! If you’d like to hear anything in particular about our clients, the projects we are involved in, our team, or the latest happenings in our industry, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you and regards, Glenn Barker, Managing Director On behalf of the Barker Ryan Stewart team |
