The works tie in with Brisbane City Council’s ‘Long-Term Infrastructure Plan 2012-2031 originally released in 2007. It looks to provide Australia’s third most populated city with the key transport, water, energy, telecom and waste management infrastructure. They estimate the population will grow from 2.2 million to nearly 3 million by 2030.

Implementing the ‘Brisbane Long Term Infrastructure Plan (BLTIP) 2012-2031′ aims to contribute to the “triple bottom line” which has been summarised as:

  • Growing the economy – enhancing the city’s capacity for long-term economic growth
  • Building communities – supporting a growing and diverse Brisbane population
  • Enhancing the environment – managing and mitigating the impact on the natural environment

The timing of the Brisbane infrastructure boom couldn’t be better for Barker Ryan Stewart. We have recently established our new office in Broadbeach which will service the growing demand for property and infrastructure development. As a result, our full suite of services including; civil and traffic engineering, town planning, project management, surveying, subdivision and strata certification, and RMS verification will assist the new developments in the South East Queensland and Northern NSW regions.

Brisbane City Council carries the tagline “Dedicated to a better Brisbane”. We are eager to help them achieve this with our own tagline of ‘Total Project Solutions’.
