BARKER RYAN STEWART NEWSLETTER
REDUCE SCHOOL TRAFFIC PROGRAM

BRS will be rolling out a pilot program to three lucky schools across NSW during the third school term. The Reduce School Traffic program, or Walk Ride Share, aims to reduce traffic congestion around schools, by encouraging students to walk, cycle, carpool or catch public transport to and from school over a 2-week period. It’s ambitious, but if we encourage every school in Australia to join in, we can significantly reduce traffic congestion on our roads at peak times. Some of the great benefits include:

  • Reducing traffic congestion on our roads and around school zones;
  • Creating faster commutes to and from workplaces for the local community;
  • Encouraging walking or cycling to be the transport mode of choice for short trips;
  • Encouraging children and families to include regular exercise into their daily routine;
  • Promoting road safety awareness;
  • Environmental benefits through reducing air-polluting emissions.

Stay tuned to our website, social media and upcoming newsletters for updates on the program.

BRS.COM.AU

We recently obtained the brs.com.au domain and have began the transition to the new domain.

The new domain means that our email addresses are changing to the format name@brs.com.au. Please update these new email addresses in your Outlook or company CRM.  All incoming emails will work if they are sent to our old addresses for a limited time – so don’t worry, we will still receive everything. However the old address will eventually be phased out so it is important to update your contacts.

If you have links on your website which point to us, and would like to update them, that would be great.

2017 Annual Beach Day

In late March our partners and families came together for the annual BRS beach day at Avoca Beach. It was a beautiful sunny day in the park. Everyone (except Reggie the dog) enjoyed the last of the warm weather on the paddle boards and boats.

A year goes by so quickly, the family beach day is a great opportunity to meet and catch up with the teams partners and families. It’s always a surprise how quickly the kids grow!
